About Me

Lisa Preble, LCSW, LADC
Clinical Social Worker / Psychotherapist
Lisa holds both a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Fairleigh Dickenson University and a Master of Social Work from Rutgers University. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor in the State of Connecticut.
Clinically trained at Rutgers University Lisa's training focused on working with substance use / addictions, anxiety and depression, life changes, marriage / partnerships, ADHD, issues of sexuality, personality disorders, anger problems, trauma and PTSD, women's issues, spirituality, parenting, and relationship issues.
Lisa's approach developed during her academic and experiential work as well as many diverse post graduate trainings. This training includes a rich foundation in:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Dialectical Behavioral Skills Training (DBT)
She regularly attends clinical trainings to keep current on knowledge and skills relating to specific treatment approaches as well as furthering her expertise in the science of behavior, human development across the lifespan, and emotional and psychological wellness.
Since 2013, Lisa has served in many roles in various settings as an adult clinician in IOP / PHP, outpatient, recovery, and residential settings. She has recently served as a Program Supervisor, then Manager, at several outpatient clinics throughout Connecticut.
Lisa also accepts Out-of-Network benefits.
